Fashion played a major role throughout the evening, with attendees arriving in standout outfits that reflected their own personalities. The atmosphere encouraged guests to express themselves freely, whether through their clothing, footwear or personal style, reinforcing Vans' long-standing connection to creative culture.

One of the biggest attractions was the live sneaker customisation station, where artist Tiisetso Molobi transformed classic Vans into personalised works of art. Guests were also treated to Vans-inspired nail art by Senpai Nails, while &Fries kept everyone refreshed with food throughout the night.

Creativity extended into every corner of the venue. The event space paid tribute to Vans' rich history with design elements inspired by the brand's legendary 1966 House, creating an environment where music, art and retail blended seamlessly into a single experience.

More than just a brand activation, Sportscene Goes Off the Wall celebrated the communities that continue to shape youth culture. By combining live music, fashion, art and personal expression under one roof, Sportscene and Vans demonstrated how retail spaces can evolve into platforms that bring people together through creativity and culture.

Sportscene and Vans Redefined Retail with an Immersive "Goes Off the Wall" Experience

Sportscene and Vans transformed an ordinary shopping trip into a vibrant celebration of music, fashion and creativity when they hosted Sportscene Goes Off the Wall at Sandton City. The event brought together artists, sneaker lovers and creatives for an evening that showcased the spirit of self-expression at the heart of the Vans brand.

Far from a typical in-store activation, the experience reimagined the retail space as a cultural destination where live entertainment, art and streetwear existed side by side. Inspired by Vans' Authentically Forward campaign, the event celebrated the enduring legacy of the Vans Authentic, a silhouette that has represented originality and individuality for six decades.
